About Me
As a proud fangirl of both music and sports, I have spent almost half of my life unknowingly educating myself on these industries and their fans. I have two older brothers who were three-sport athletes for most of their lives and later went on to play college basketball. Because of this, I have been around sports for as long as I can remember. I have traveled around the country watching them play in addition to supporting my own home teams (Go Bucks, Brewers, Packers, and Badgers!).
If I wasn’t at the gym or at the field with my brothers (and many times even then too), you could probably find me listening to music and discovering new artists. My interest in the music industry began when High School Musical was released in 2008. It’s safe to say I was a High School Musical stan before being a stan was a thing. Then, when I discovered One Direction on Tumblr in 2011, I never looked back. I have been a part of stan Twitter since the end of 2012, constantly keeping up with not only One Direction but my other favorite artists as well.
After graduating with a degree in Business Administration with Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Management emphases, I am ready to put my knowledge of what fans want that I acquired both in the classroom and in fandoms to work for artists, athletes, and their teams. I am interested in social media, digital marketing, and fan engagement opportunities that will help me gain experience and expand my skill set. I believe that in today’s world, artists need to leverage social media not only to find new fans but to keep their current fans engaged. And at the end of the day, you need to know what fans are thinking to be able to properly engage them.
